Terms of Service

The rules for using GloNet VPN, in plain language.

Last updated: October 30, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of GloNet VPN (“GloNet”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the GloNet VPN app, our VPN servers and API, and this website (together, the “Service”).

By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live.

2. The Service

GloNet provides a VPN for Android that routes your device’s internet traffic through an encrypted tunnel to a GloNet server. The current location is Ashburn, Virginia (United States). The features, locations and tools available may change over time.

The current version is free and doesn’t require an account. Nothing is sold in the app or on this website today. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You are responsible for how you use the Service. You agree not to use it to:

  • break any law, or help anyone else break the law;
  • access, distribute or store content that exploits children, or that is otherwise illegal;
  • send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or run phishing or fraud;
  • attack, scan, probe or disrupt any network or system, including denial-of-service attacks;
  • distribute malware or operate botnets or command-and-control infrastructure;
  • infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • share large volumes of copyrighted material without permission, or use peer-to-peer file sharing (which may be blocked on our servers);
  • resell, rent or share access to the Service, or use it to provide a service to others;
  • circumvent limits, interfere with the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

A VPN does not make unlawful activity lawful. Laws about VPN use differ between countries; it is your responsibility to follow the laws that apply to you.

4. Availability and performance

We work to keep the Service running well, but VPN availability is not guaranteed: we can’t promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, fast or error-free. Speed and performance vary and depend on many factors outside our control, including your network, your distance to the server and server load.

Server locations and their availability may change. We may change, add or remove features and locations, perform maintenance, limit usage to protect the Service, or suspend the Service in whole or in part. Some websites, networks and services may block VPN connections.

5. Future subscriptions

No paid plans are sold today. Subscriptions may be introduced later; this section explains how they would work if we introduce them.

If we offer optional paid subscriptions in the future:

  • the price, billing period and included features will be shown clearly before you buy;
  • purchases will be made through Google Play and are subject to Google Play’s terms;
  • subscriptions will renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time in Google Play, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for;
  • refunds will be handled according to Google Play’s refund policies and any rights you have under applicable law;
  • we will update these Terms before subscriptions become available.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services such as Google Play, Google Firebase and third-party speed-test servers, and the private browser lets you open third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including the app, the GloNet name and logo, and this website, belongs to the operator of GloNet VPN or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our trademarks. Open-source components in the app are licensed under their own licenses.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting and uninstalling the app. We may suspend or block access to the Service, without notice where reasonable, if we believe you have broken these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.

We may also discontinue the Service. If we do, we will try to give reasonable notice in the app or on this website.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. A VPN improves privacy on the network between your device and our server, but no service can guarantee complete security or anonymity.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, GloNet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Your responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes, we will give notice in the app or on this website. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law that applies to them, and nothing in them limits the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, please contact us first at support@glonetvpn.app so we can try to resolve it informally.
